Week of June 1, 2020

Dear Parents,

We cannot believe we are already entering the month of June. The weeks are flying by and we thank you for all the support you are doing at home,
and for continuing to invest in your child’s education.

Click on the google slides link below for this week's learning activities. Please remember that the guidelines for each day are only suggestions, feel free
to work at your own pace (and make it work with your schedule). If you have any questions or troubles, please email your child’s teacher for help.

Just a reminder, we will only be holding Class Google Meets every second Friday, so there is no meet this week.

We always enjoy seeing what our students are up to, so feel free to send pictures or messages to keep us up to date!

Enjoy the sunshine and the warmer weather,
The Grade One Team
(Mrs. Bourassa, Miss DiNardo and Miss Kralik)

Week of May 25, 2020

Dear Parents,

Click on the google slides link below for this week's learning activities. Please remember that the guidelines for each day are only suggestions,
feel free to work at your own pace (and make it work with your schedule). If you have any questions or troubles, please email your child’s teacher
for help.

On Friday, May 29th each class will have a Google Meet, so students can see each other and their teacher to say hello. The link will be emailed to you
10 minutes before the scheduled meet, so you are able to log on. It can be quite difficult if everyone is trying to speak at once, so please help your child
mute themselves, and they can unmute when called upon. If you arrive late to the meet, please ensure that your child’s microphone is on
mute so that he/she does not interrupt someone else’s turn to share. The OCSB school board has a focus on Art this month.  Last week’s show
and share worked very well.  Again for this week’s google meet we encourage students to bring a piece of art that they have created to share. This could
be a drawing, painting, structure (lego, 3D shape structure using recyclables) and each child will have a minute to show and explain it to the class.  Please have your artwork on hand if you are going to share. It might be a good idea to go over what your child is going to share with the class in order to ensure it is appropriate for the classroom setting. If your child would just like to be present and not share anything, that is fine too!

Here are the Google Meet times for Friday, May 29th: (approximately 30 minutes)
Mrs. Bourassa- 10:30 am - 11:00 am
Miss DiNardo- 10:30 am - 11:00 am
Miss Kralik- 11:30am - 12:00 pm

Have a wonderful week and we look forward to seeing your faces on Friday,

The Grade One Team
(Mrs. Bourassa, Miss DiNardo and Miss Kralik)
